Stonewood Stake has been given the opportunity to help usher on the first two days the temple will be open to the public - Friday & Saturday, October 27-28th. This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity. We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to participate. We still are not sure of all of our assignments or numbers but we are quite certain of the following:
We have been asked to provide 52 ushers for Friday October 27th for the 2:30-6:00 pm shift and 14 ushers for the Friday 5:30-9:00 pm shift.
We have been asked to provide 14 ushers for the Saturday 8:30 am to noon shift and 52 ushers for the Saturday 11:30-3:00pm shift.
Youth are able to participate and each shift will need a certain number of youth to help with foot coverings and 2 youth leaders to oversee the effort.
We will be passing around sign-up sheets each Sunday and as soon as our assignments are final, we will send out a google sheet to sign up.
We will most likely have additional parking and cleaning assignments opportunities but for now we are asking for people to only sign up for one ushering time.
You do not need a temple recommend to participate and in fact, non members are encouraged to participate as well. We will send out additional information as we have it as well as training information as the time approaches.
